Horn of Africa Services

The HOAS Outreach Specialists are three bi-lingual, bi-cultural individuals from the East African community who work in the HOAS offices and in the field, assisting clients. Assistance is provided by helping clients navigate through the court, education, housing, and healthcare systems, as well as helping clients fill out job and citizenship applications. In addition, our Outreach Specialists are aware of the multitude of resources available throughout the city and are skilled at referring clients to appropriate services and agencies which can meet their specific needs. By providing custom assistance, we strive to help each client successfully adjust to living in the USA.

Provided to East African Residents of Yesler Terrace, Highpoint, and Rainier Vista who need assistance with translation and or interpretation, social services, Information and referral to employment, healthcare, housing, ESL, education and other services. Services Are offered in Amharic, Tigrigna, Somali, and Oromo.
